Machine Guarding

Fabricated steel guards with mesh panels, built around an existing production line.

The challenge: A manufacturer needed guarding around a new production line, with mesh panels that allowed visibility and air flow while preventing access to moving parts. The guards had to be interlocked to stop the machine if a door opened, and built around the existing plant layout.

Our approach: We fabricated the guard frames from box section and fitted welded mesh panels, with hinged access doors and interlock mounting plates on each opening. The guards were built in bolt-together sections so they could be removed for maintenance. The frames were powder-coated to match the line.

The outcome: The guarding was installed around the full line, with interlocks wired by the client's electrician. The mesh panels gave clear visibility, and the bolt-together sections made maintenance access straightforward. The line passed its safety inspection.
